"Cancelled PET scans"

About: Basildon University Hospital / General medicine Southend Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

Last week I had an appointment at Basildon Hospital for a PET scan, however it was cancelled as they did not have right equipment. The appointment was rescheduled to this week, when I attended I was told they could not do the scan as they still did not have the right equipment.

Last week the appointment was cancelled before I went however this week it cost me to park at the hospital. I asked if the parking charges could be re-imbursed as the appointment / scan did not happen. I was told it had nothing to do with them.

I've now asked for an appointment at Southend Hospital for the PET scan. Parking charges there are displayed as £3.00, actually they charge £3.10 - so all the car park users are being charged 10 pence more.
