I have been with this surgery for over 25 years and during that time have seen many changes of management.
Only recently have I become very disappointed.
I had a test done almost a month ago - I have called repeatedly to see if the results are back, nine times out of ten I have got the same receptionist (who I unfortunately cannot name here) whenever I call.
Each time, I have found her to be unhelpful to the point of rudeness.
What a shame this is as I haven't been able to fault the service up until now.
I don't believe that waiting almost a month for test results is acceptable and have been told that they can't get through to the hospital to chase and to call again in another week.
There are also inconsistencies in the information given.
Calling today I am told I need to call again at 08:00am tomorrow morning but they are almost fully booked so probably best to call next week!
When I called for the appointment for my test weeks ago, I was given one the next afternoon in the hub in Grays - why couldn't that happen today?
I don't make a habit of visiting a doctor unless it is absolutely unavoidable and when I do have an issue as I do at the moment, I don't like being made to feel uncomfortable whenever I call.
I think the original doctor I used to see all those years ago would be ashamed of the way patients are treated by this individual and I am seriously considering finding alternative provision.
