"Discharge Summary"

About: The Royal London Hospital / Accident and emergency

My son was involved in a motor cycle accident on the 13th September and up till now we are still waiting for the discharge summary to come through. I have been calling and chasing this up along with our GP to no joy. Yesterday i spent nearly 40 mins going round in circles been put through to different departnents to be told to send an enail to the A&E department which i have done and still waiting for it.I work in a GP practice myself i know things can take time, but not 2 months soon going on to 3 months. The point is we need this discharge summary so my son can his sick certificate without this it's pointless. Not happy and i have been told Royal london are the worst when it comes to sending out discharge summarys. Am getting very frustrated!!
