"No consistency/continuity of care. Heavy..."

About: Southwood Practice

Visited the surgery... yet again unable to see a doctor who knows me and my conditions.

The locum had obviously not read any notes before calling me in and said 'as an active working woman....'.

Um, no, I have been medically retired for three years and have a chronic and painful set of conditions that made what she said actually laughable.

But, more seriously, her saying that as an opener made me feel pretty bad as there was no time to give the background to inform the locum of the why behind my issues and I felt rushed and dsimissed.

On another occasion I saw the osteo-physio for an appraisal of my joint pain.

He refused to discuss my knees because he said my appointment could only look at one body part at a time.

I was there discussing my hips... he also refused to make a double referral for physio (hips and knees) YET when I attended the physio session at the Aldershot Centre For Heath they told me he should have referred both conditions and they could have handled them holistically.

Most importantly of all, the surgery will not allow appointments to be booked in advance despite some patients needing regular and ongoing care where seeing the same doctor is beneficial and more efficient.

If I had a choice I would not attend this surgery.

Sadly, geography forces me to use it.
