"Lack car parking facilities"

About: University Hospital Wishaw

(as a relative),

Recent visits to wishaw general to visit family member. Need to plan visits around work and no matter what time I attend I spend large part of my visiting time driving around the car parks trying to find a space. This is causing additional stress at a difficult time and means I am losing time with my visit. This needs to be seriously addressed as there are clearly not enough spaces.

I would apologise that you had difficulties finding a parking space at University Hospital Wishaw.

We would like to reassure you that we treat all matters relating to car parking with the utmost importance and regret that you have experienced difficulty. When the hospital first opened the car parks to the rear of the hospital were solely for the use of staff. As demand for car parking has grown, this was reviewed and, a decision made to allow visitors to use the rear car park. An additional 300 parking spaces were also provided at the rear of the hospital with the security gates open from 06:00am until 09:00pmThere are a total of 1263 parking spaces within University Hospital Wishaw.

NHSL are currently reviewing their car parking strategy across all sites.

again I would offer my apologise that you had difficulties finding a parking space.
