"Katherine Monk Day ward"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Urology

I attended Katherine Monk day Ward on 13th November at 10am. I was an hour early, but was seen straight away. All the staff on this Ward made me feel at home and explained my procedure a prostate biopsy. I was very anxious and nervous. I was offered tea, sandwiches and water. The Staff Nurse was extremely helpful. In fact, the whole team were amazing. Although the procedure was uncomfortable and a bit painful, the doctor who carried out the biopsy was very professional and kept apologising if he thought I was in pain. I felt I was in very good hands. All the staff treated me with dignity and respect. So a very big thank you to all the staff.
