I was admitted to the RAH after my 2nd heart attack in 5 months. I spent two nights in the RAH (CCU and ward 8) and Three nights in the Golden Jubilee. As before, the staff were great. I felt I was well cared for and I'm grateful for the work the hospital staff do.
In my 2 nights in the RAH, I was in 3 beds, in 3 different wards. The staff has a constant battle with trying to find space. I think the RAH is stretched beyond its means. I understand the need to try and accommodate everyone but when you are admitted to the hospital, the last thing you want to be playing is musical beds.
My 3 nights in The Golden Jubilee were 100% satisfactory. I felt the care I received there was 2nd to none. Food was good, the place it was quiet at night and I wasn't shifted bed or ward once.
In my opinion, I had a better experience at the Jubilee than at RAH, although as I said, the staff in both hospitals were very nice and took good care of me.
