I had to go the Women’s health centre I had recently discovered I had uterine polyps and was going to the centre to have them removed. I was petrified everything I had read online about having a Hysteroscopy with polypectomy was really scary mainly about how much pain people had experienced!! From the second I got there I felt sick with fear when I went through to the Hysteroscopy room I felt at ease instantly. the doctor was so amazing and lovely she really helped to put my mind at ease about the procedure although I still had the fear of the pain, the 2 nurses that were in the room as well were amazing they constantly kept me chatting and I hadn’t even realised that the doctor had even started the procedure as the camera passes through the cervix I did feel some cramping but that is literally all it was once it had passed into my uterus I felt nothing I didn’t even feel the polyps being removed!! I thought I would leave this review just incase other women are scared about having this procedure please don’t be yes it’s slightly uncomfortable but that’s all it was nothing at all like what google searches had told me. So thank you to the doctor and those lovely nurses for making my visit so easy :)
