"I was worrying needlessly"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

As I haven’t been an in-patient in a hospital for many years it was with some trepidation I was admitted to University Hospital Wishaw for a knee replacement. I was worrying needlessly. The kindness, care and attention I received was second to none from everyone I encountered especially staff in ward 14. If I ever have to go into University Hospital Wishaw again I will have no fears. These dedicated hard working people are not shown enough appreciation for the work they do. Thanks again to all staff.

Dear WARD 14,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your lovely comments about your experience within ward 14. I am delighted to hear that you feel the care you received was second to none and I know that the staff will be very pleased to receive your very positive feedback as they strive to provide safe, effective, person centred care to all patients within their care. Their care and attention clearly helped to make a very anxious time more bearable for you.

I will share your kind words with the staff in the ward and I hope that you are continuing to recover well at home,

Best Wishes

Maureen
