"Outstanding, from chemo to surgery to aftercare"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18) University Hospital Wishaw / Medical Oncology

(as a relative),

My sister is in University Hospital Wishaw at Day surgery. She has been through 8 rounds of chemotherapy in the oncology department, and I have to say that everything right from the domestic staff up to the consultants has been absolutely excellent.

She went back in to day surgery yesterday to ward 17 on the day unit for her mastectomy and all the food, nurses and breast nurses have been absolutely amazing, the care has been outstanding. I am a registered nurse myself and it fills me with confidence to see such outstanding service, people so happy in their jobs, all the staff from domestics upwards who would have done anything to help my sister. Throughout the whole process, such amazing care and attention from chemo through to surgery and the aftercare has been outstanding.

Hi

Thank you so very much for taking the time to let us know about your Sister's experience while in University Hospital Wishaw. I oversee the Catering and Domestic Teams for Serco in the hospital and I will be delighted to let the staff know how well they are doing in regards to making your Sister's stay a positive experience (while knowing how very difficult it must have been for her, yourself and your family). It is always good to know what a difference we can make.

Kindest regards

Dear lovemh78

Thank you so much for taking the time to give positive feedback from your sisters experience during her treatment at University Hospital Wishaw. I am delighted to hear that this experience has been positive especially during such an intense time with chemotherapy and surgery. The staff in the Oncology Day Unit try very hard to ensure that everyone has a positive experience and will be delighted to have received this.

I will share this with them as I know they will be delighted to get the recognition for the work they do and will very much appreciate you taking the time to share your sisters experience.

Please wish your sister well during her recovery from recent surgery and thank you once again for your feedback.

Warmest Regards

Lynn
