"I know I am in safe hands"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

I attended this clinic this morning and I must say, I was impressed. This clinic clearly has a vast number of patients attending. There are lots of different activities going on, with only a few rooms for the clinic's various requirements. Each member of staff, starting at reception, were quick, efficient and friendly.

Firstly, would like to thank Janet (you know who you are), for helping me to rearrange this appointment. Then I need to thank Aimee, Debra, Maureen, Blazej and Dr Koshy for all your help. everything was explained well and although the clinic was mobbed, I didn't feel rushed.

While I don't particularly look forward to the treatment, I know I am in safe hands and I will no doubts see some of you again soon.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Eunyj9,

Thank you so much for taking time to share this on Care Opinion. It may be unusual to see people in the Opthalmology team getting recognition by name. So many patients vision will be affected for all sorts of reasons, including the drops to dilate their pupils, making name badges difficult to read. Also, remembering so many people's names can be a challenge too. So I will be happy to pass your gratitude to them all.
