"Two Week Wait Prostate Care"

About: Croydon University Hospital / General medicine Purley War Memorial Hospital

(as a relative),

My father was recently referred into Croydon Hospitals Urgent referral pathway with suspected Prostate Cancer. As you can imagine this was a very distressing time for my father and the rest of the family. However, from the moment he was referred into Croydon we immediately felt we were in caring hands. The next day after seeing the GP my father received a phone call from the referral office. The lady on the phone was friendly and professional explaining where we would need to go for his appointment only two days after seeing our GP. When arriving in Outpatients we were seen  straight away with no delays. He saw Dr Argyropoulos who was absolutely amazing, explaining ever detail of the pathway and what steps were in the coming next. The whole pathway was flawless. The diagnostics were all conducted with every member of staff we have seen from the consultant to the receptionist were all professional, approachable and only too happy to help.   We got the result through showing my father has stage 2  prostate cancer.   Even though this is  a highly upsetting time the care and compassion shown  has been absolutely exceptional and our whole family are eternally greatly for the care given by Croydon.
