Only one female doctor at the whole practice! Booked appointment a month ago with female doctor to ensure I had a female doctor only to walk into a locum male doctor. I was told I was the one who had made the mistake and after I looked into my appointment and said I had booked with female I was told she was at a different surgery and given a lame half apology. Disappointed...

Thank you for your feedback. We currently have 2 female GP's part time split over two sites. We are continuing to try to recruit however there is a nationwide problem and as yet have been unsuccessful. Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances we do have to make amendments to the appointment book and who is scheduled at which site. We would not expect trained staff to behave in this manor and can assure you we usually have positive feedback from our friends and family surveys. We apologise if you felt this was your experience on this occasion.
