"Excellent care at Wishaw General Hospital"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Care of the Elderly (Wards 9-12) University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was taken by ambulance to Wishaw A&E. I was subsequently admiited and later taken to the Emergency Care Ward.  After a day 

I was then taken to Ward 8 for further care.

During my time in the hospital I was very ably looked after, from the excellent initial care by ambulance crew, to A&E, Emergency Care Ward staff, and all staff in Ward 8. I was particularly impressed by the staff nurses and their colleague nursing staff and all the doctors who looked after me so well. It was very evident that everyone worked with ceaseless dedication over extremely long, often 12 hour shifts, but my outstanding impression was that everyone involved actually cared for their patients and did not see their work as a necessary routine.

Many thanks for taking the time to post feedback on the care you received whilst attending the Emergency Department and being an inpatient here at University Hospital Wishaw. I indeed hope your health continues to improve.

I am so pleased that you found your experience a positive one and the staff will be delighted to read your kind words.

It is very reassuring to read your story and I will ensure that this is passed back to the clinical teams for them to know that although they are very busy, that their care and personal attention is appreciated.
