"I hope I can be strong enough to go forward"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

I have had counselling and EDMR treatment with Monica at Inclusion thurrock for a couple of months. A few months ago i was so depressed and anxious i couldn't leave the house because i was so over whelmed with dark thoughts and sadness and memories and trauma from my past . Monica allowed me to open up and talk to her and cry , and express myself in a way that no one else has ever done before. She saw things from my point of view and helped my to understand why people do things and helped me see things from a new angle.

She has given me so many tools to manage my anxiety and try and move forward with my life. I cant thank her enough for all her help. I will miss seeing her every week but i hope i can be strong enough to go forward with my new mindset and keep building as a person.

Dear Hopefulgirl

I like your title - Hopefulgirl.

Often, when people describe their depression, or anxiety, they will say they have lost hope. They cant imagine a better time ahead or that change is possible.

Through treatment, its possible to learn that change is possible and more than that - its possible for you and you can bring it about!!

So you start to build,to recognize, to feel, hopeful..............to be full of hope!!

Just like your name...

I'm so glad you found the right treatment and have brought positive changes into your life. Your concerns about sustaining change, is very common and people often find things in their environment that will help them going forward.

I will include this link to the recovery college which you might like to explore. They have a range of courses and workshops that might interest and excite you. Give it a try!!

Thank you ever so much for sharing your courageous story and helping others, who might need that extra little encouragement, to engage in treatment.

Many thanks from all the team at Inclusion Thurrock.

Paul
