"Swift treatment"

About: NHS 24 Victoria Hospital / Out of Hours

(as a service user),

I want to take the time to thank both NHS 24 and the out of hours service at the VHK.

 I called NHS 24 with a cough and being short of breath a midweek night and there were no bookable GP appointments. 

An appointment was made for little over an hour later, I was taken dead on my appointment time. And I was seen by Peter I think? Absolutely fantastic doctor. I was worried and he reassured me and took the time to go through everything making me feel at ease. 

He did a thorough assessment and I cannot describe the care I received It was great- I was worried I wouldn't be taken seriously and that id be told it was "just another bad winter cold" however as I say the care was fabby and the pre labelled medicines saved the stress of finding a pharmacy that was open!

So sorry to hear you have been unwell. I hope you are on the mend very soon.

It was good of you to take the time to contact NHS 24 and NHS Fife to share you experience. It sounds as though the Doctor who assessed you at the Victoria Hospital is a huge credit to the NHS.
