"Chairs are very uncomfy"

About: Darent Valley Hospital / Accident and emergency

Baring in mind you have to sit in a&e for a while, the chairs are extremely uncomfortable and not nice to have to sit on. I would rather sit on the floor however, there seems to be tissues, cups, magazines, food and lots of other unnecessary things on the floor.

Also, I understand that as the wait is so long people may want to get some food and drink, however I believe that hot food, such a McDonald’s, should not be allowed in the waiting room and should be consumed outside as it stinks out the whole area and is not nice for everyone around, especially those who may be feeling nauseous.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review review and we do concede that the chairs may not be the most comfortable in the world but they do serve a purpose.

We also agree that although we do provide bins, some people choose to discarding their food and beverage litter on the floor, and unfortunately we do not have the manpower to be constantly cleaning this area. However, we do provide benches outside the department should people wish to consume food outside although often people wish to remain with their poorly relatives.

Kind regards
