"I left the clinic feeling like a new man."

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat Lincoln County Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

For the last 4 years I have developed a cough which I have been backwards and forwards to our doctor about. I was made an appointment at Grantham hospital and thought finally my problem coughed would be cured.

Two days before the appointment it was cancelled and I was given another date which I couldn't attend as I was away. Two months and no new appointment, after a visit and a phone call from my local practice I called appointments department at Lincoln Hospital and to my surprise was given a time and date that very week at Clinic 8 Lincoln Hospital.

The young lady who gave me the appointment was very polite despite being very busy. I arrived on the day at the hospital at 10am for my 10. 50am appointment. To my surprise I was went straight in to see the specialist. He came across very professional and friendly and made me feel at ease despite knowing I was going to have a camera thrust down my nose. He soon diagnosed my problem and gave me an explanation of what it was along with a prescription for medication.

All finished and ready to leave I asked him about another problem that had I had developed dizzy bouts when laying down. Without hesitation he explained my problem and by getting me to lay on the couch and move my head quickly to the left the dizzy problem happened at that moment and he was able to show the effect to some students in the room. Once again he gave me an explanation of what was happening along with a diagram of the exercises I needed to do to cure my benign positional vertigo. I left the clinic feeling like a new man.

A bonus as we drove away from the hospital the parking was free as the barrier was stuck in the up position.
