"Saw lady in podiatry clinic, nasty and uncaring ."

About: Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital

I waited months when I lived in Wingham for a appointment for the podiatry clinic in Herne bay queen Victoria hospital. When I actually had my visit, the lady was uncaring, and very abrupt.

She must have been having a bad day. I was told I had plantar fasciitis and gave me a few excersise to do.

Also she gave me a pair of insoles to wear in my shoes, which I have done.

She also told me that they would cure it, along with the excersise and if I came back again complaining of the same thing, she would know that I have not been doing the excersise.

Over the next 18 months I have persevered with the insoles and excersise and it has got extremely worse.

I saw a new doctor in Herne bay, as I moved to the area, he gave me a course of physio in Broomfield surgery and I think I am slowly getting my foot better.

It transpires the insoles I were gives have in face worsened my foot as the have made my feet turn out causing more pain to the foot. I feel very angry that I have been wearing insoles that tilted my foot in completely the wrong direction, hence prolonging my excruciating painful feet,

I am going to make an official complaint as soon as I find out the name of the 'lady ' I saw in the podiatry clinic.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the actual date of my appointment,

I only went once so it should be on record.

It was roughly 2016

Dear Kristine

We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the care and treatment provided in the podiatry clinic at Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital in Herne Bay in 2016. If you would like an investigation to be carried out please do not hesitate to contact the PALS team with more details so that the service can look into your complaint. There is no need for you to find out the name of the podiatrist before this can be done.

Best wishes
