"What's the use of such a clinic"

About: St. James's Medical Centre

Me and my family has been with this GP for almost 2 years. I live with my wife who is 37years and son who is 8years old. My experience with this GP has not been great.

Talking about basic things, we never get appointments when needed. Even though we try to get appointments by calling them from 5minutes to 8AM, we rarely get through. There has been instances where we hear the ring going through but the call will be cut ultimately. If we ever get an appointment by luck,we are made to wait at least half an hour from the appointment time.

Speaking of doctors, most of them are inexperienced and don't know what they are doing. If you talk to them about your concerns, they reply with sarcastic comments. Not all doctors are bad.

My son had a small fungal infection. My son suffered with this infection for over 5months. We went to GP very frequently as there was no effect of medication. My son had taken 2courses of antibiotics with no improvement. Ultimately we went to Croydon university hospital by calling 111 and on reaching there, the doctor said it's a fungal infection and he was being treated for bacterial infection. He was also complaining that,if the doctors are not sure, they should consult with specialist. But they never do it. Once he started his antifungal medicine,he was alright in 2weeks.

My wife fell on her bums, at her work place and she was having terrible back ache. We tried to get appointments and we couldn't get for two weeks, one month, and finally gave up. She was still with pain and finally got appointment after 3months. After checking, doctor told her that, her pain is near tail bone, which is a vestigial organ. So they can't scan it or prescribe any medication. All she can take is ibuprofen. For her questions to how many and how long she should take ibuprofen, the doctor said, according to what the tablet cover says an she could take it till he develops gastritis due to it.

There are other experiences but I don't want to make this any long
