"I was at total peace"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

(as a service user),

Palliative Care Team LCH

Lincoln Palliative Care Wards, porters, the whole unit.

Where to start.

I was at total peace, listened to and felt amazing from the coffee lady to the teams NEVER too much. Plenty of advice and someone just to sit listen to really look at you and see what we wanted as a family and how to get that brilliant not just one Team but lots of different teams working to make my 3 weeks amazing and everything arranged in days to get everything we needed arranged for me to go home and make memories.

These wards don't go anywhere near what I want to say in thanks they work so hard for so many but still make you feel that you are the only one they will see today.

What could have been better... people know how hard it is for them.

Dear pelicanke35

Your words describe the care we aspire to for each patient that we see and I am so thankful that this was your experience and I am also genuinely grateful that you have taken the time to let us know.

I love that you have recognised the team includes everyone including nurses, porters and the coffee lady, and that by working towards a shared goal we can achieve the experience you describe.

We will use your feedback to demonstrate the impact of amazing care.

I wish you well and hope that you are able to make many priceless memories

Best wishes

Sarah
