About: Derriford Hospital / Clinical immunology

Had to go into this day unit as i was allergic to a product i had previously had intravenously, but i was given an oral version of this and nobody was sure how i was going to react, hence being sent here to sit and see what happened. From the moment i went in all the staff that dealt with me were so caring and thoughtful and compassionate. I am not the worlds best patient as i don't like hospitals. I was there all day to see if i had a reaction and also in the morning i had to have a preparation to clear out my bowels as was having a scan the next day so i was constantly in the toilet and staff were even shouting through door to see if i was okay. i really cannot fault they caring attitude nothing was too much trouble evening washing up my breakfast dish and offering to help to clean me when i had an accident. We all know that nurses and doctors on the wards have a hard job and we all praise them for what they do and well deserved it is but until we need them these little units that do an amazing job never get heard of. So to all the staff at all of these units especially Eden (where i was) thank you from the bottom of my heart, your kindness was so appreciated and it made a long day that bit more bearable.
