"Women’s Health Unit"

I attended the unit today for a hysteroscopy and polypectomy after being referred under 2WW.

From my initial consultation to undergoing my procedure today I have nothing but praise and gratitude to every staff member I came into contact with.

The reception staff are very welcoming, the department very clean with a relaxed atmosphere even though it is a very busy unit.

I was very anxious when I arrived today however all of the staff were calm and reassuring and put me at ease. Every stage of the procedure was explained thoroughly. My Consultant was very calm and reassuring making sure I understood every part of the procedure. He took time to explain his findings and even typed my discharge summary to ensure I had a copy to take home.

I have worked for the NHS for many years and also previously worked for Newcastle Hospitals. This department is an excellent example of the very best of NHS care. Thank you to you all you should be very proud of the service you provide
