What I liked

I brought my 1 year old daughter in for an appointment to investigate her egg allergy and I was really impressed by the Consultant and the Children's Allergy Team. The co-ordination was seamless between Reception, the nurses who weighed and measured her, the Consultant, the nurses who carried out the allergy tests and the nurses who took a blood sample. I had taken a bag full of toys, anticipating a long wait, but the waiting area was so well equipped that the time just flew while we were waiting to see if there was a reaction to the tests. My daughter was happily playing with the toys and booked provided, which made the whole thing much easier. While the Consultant was performing a secondary test, a nurse took our presecription to the pharmacy, so that it would be ready for us to take home. I couldn't believe how well all the staff communicated with each other. It felt like a really slick operation. It's never fun having to hold your baby while needles are put into her, but all the staff were so pleasant and efficient it made whole experience as painless for us both as it could be. Thank you.
