"Hethel Ward"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Respiratory medicine

I was placed in the Hethel ward from 10th till the 14th of September (2018) due to a respitory issue which the doctors later confirmed was Bronchitus, along with my Asthma.

From the second I arrived until the second I left the ward I cannot say anything more than the highest of praise for the nurses running the wards.

I was in bed 10.1 and was mostly looked after by two particular nurses who were model examples of how you should act within a ward.

Both were extremely professional throughout my stay.

It was my first time at a hospital for more than just a day so I was a little nervious going in, but the way they acted throughout eased any anxiety I had.

I was easily the least ill person in ward 10 at the time of being there but they treated me no different, and looked after the other 5 in extreme professionism.

I wanted to tell them this to their faces but I got wheeeled out before they started their shifts as I was given the OK by the doctors, and had to wait a few hours down in a ward in Level 1 for my medication and discharge letter.

The food was also much better than I was expected and I was given both drinks/snacks as well as breakfast/lunch dinner throughout the day.

I would go as far to say I have never been fed so well in my life.

The people serving the food were lovely and every meal was correct, lovely and hot and most importantly tasted nice.

I don't ever leave reviews online for anything, but I definitely felt this meritted one.

Dear Patient

Thank you for your kind comments about your recent inpatient admission. I am pleased to read that staff were professional, kind and caring and this was a positive experience. I will share this with the staff involved in your care as well as the senior managers in the hospital. Thank you for taking the time to write with your thanks and praise.
