"Second time no answerphone message with opening..."

About: The Moir Medical Centre

This is the second time this has happened to me, needless to say I'm will not be the only one! Today I rang the surgery and was passed though to appointments which surprised me as I expected the surgery to be closed for New Year's Day, it was ringing out for sometime so I checked on the internet which told me "open, we observe New Year's Day hours may change". What on earth is that suppose to mean. The surgery is obviously closed, is there no one there cable of putting a message on the answerphone to that effect instead of being transferred to an unattended appointments desk ? I should of known better as the same thing happened to me in the summer having rang from Stapleford and drove to the surgery "on hold for appointments" so as not to loose my place, only to find the surgery closed and had to go on to hospital. Who is running that place, I notice other reviews placed early in December have still not been answered. Is there anybody taking any responsibility for your complete failure to address these problems

Thank you for your comments. I was on annual leave at the time of this incident but after some investigations it would appear that the our telephone system was faulty. The system is set to automatically switch to give an automated message evenings, weekends and bank holidays this however did not happen. I have taken the matter up with the company who have assured that this has now been resolved.
