What I liked

I urgently needed the services of A & E on the morning of New Years Day. After seeing the triage nurse, I was rapidly assessed by a doctor, and treatment and tests began. During my 11 hour stay, I was kept informed about the various treatments and tests that were necessary. I would like to congratulate the whole department on the attitude of their staff - it was kind, caring and at no time did I feel part of a production line. Whether it was the offer of a cup of tea and a sandwich, or the careful explanation of what was happening, I have nothing but praise - congratulations to the entire department.

What could be improved

Chairs for accompanying relatives seemed at a premium!
