What I liked
i had my son at kings mill hospital on the 16th of october 2011. It was found on a scan that i had at 36 weeks that my son has something wrong with this bowel. when he was born on the 16th of october 11 he was not checked for this and was discarged without any scans or x-ray to look into what was found. within 4 days of being being discarged he was rushed bk to kings mill with vomiting yellow sick and pain. he waas admited for the night where he was waiting for a x-ray in the morning. after the x-ray it was shown that he had a loop in his bowl (this surgery should of took place at birth) he was rushed to queens med when finaly transport arived after hours of waiting. has then after this been bk to kings mill after this and still i would not highly rate this hospital.
the only thing i did like was the clean and nice new wards.
What could be improved
1-communication between nurses and doctors,
2- rewiew of case notes,
3- more after care,
4- more doctors and less students,
5- emergency transport,
6- child surgeons that work on babys age 0-1 years so no need to go else where.
7-communication to you about your babys case.
8- many more!
Anything else?
The new hospital looks nice but does not make the care recieved any better.
"poor!!"
