The vetting of the teams was not done probably one team turn up actually beat one team 13 nil at which point the game was stopped can only imagine how the players felt. The team where visibly dirty. I myself was kicked on the knee of the ball also had one player run his stud down my ankle lucky I had ankle protectors on. Was also push to the ground lucky was able to protect my head. Having spoken to the other team the team in question had a reputation for cheating. I do not know why they where good enough to beat my Dynamo Dirrans team without all the violence. This made me so angry I actual push one of my players over when describing the incident to the coach. A act I deeply regret. My was so angry and in pain due to the kick in the knee. I feel they should have been thrown out. The coach said if the ref did not see he can not give a foul. I personally will never part take in another game against them. HOWEVER take that team out of the tournament it was well orgainsed and   had fun in all the other games. Made friends and enjoyed myself shame spoiled by one team.

Thanks for keeping us posted about your experience with Dynamo Dirrans.

I'm sorry to hear about your terrible experience with the other team - not acceptable in football and not in the spirit of the games. Glad you made it out largely unscathed!

But great to hear it hasn't marred your experience of what sounds like a fabulous event and wish you and Dynamo Dirrans the best for your next match

Think the Dirrans really should have given the team more support. Understand events like this takes a lot of effort but would have been nice to have more effort put into it. Still had a good time just so annoyed and nursing some bumps and bruises from a violent team and I am annoyed that they were invited. Feel on reflection there are many elements of the tournament that could be improved such as organisation, game management and hopefully this will serve as a learning session or next year.

I currently nursing a physical injury received the Dirrans Football tournament. My knee was kicked off the ball. Also had my legs taken away from me and was pushed heavy in the back on both occasions I could have hurt my head after falling to the ground.

Dear Michael Juggernaut,

Thanks for getting in touch to let us know your disappointment in the support from our Dirrans service regarding the tournament. I can only apologise for over looking how upset you have been over this poor experience and that you have been left mulling this over on your own.

I have spoken to the Senior Manager responsible for overseeing the service and he has asked the service to get in touch and give you an opportunity to talk this over. I'm sure you and the team could come up with a list of ways both Dirrans and the tournament could make things better for everyone, once given the opportunity.

I hope your physical injuries are on the mend but if there is any way the service could help please let them know.
