"Decent care, Poor Consultants."

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

What I liked

I was on Ward 25 Colorectal.

The majority of the nursing staff were friendly and caring, and were sympathetic to me both before and after surgery when I was in pain before and afterwards when I was subject to awkward internal dressing changes.

Many of the staff had a good sense of humour which is prerequisite to working in the Colorectal department due to the embarrassing nature of surgical procedures in the dept.

What could be improved

Oftentimes the toilets were soiled and used bedpans left around.

Many staff seemed to dislike patients.

Consultants were very rude and didn't seem to care for the welfare of their patients.
