What I liked

I had cut open my lower leg as I fell over a fallen tree near Horsham.

I lost a good deal of blood walking downhill to get help..

I was taken by ambulance to Red Hill.

The urgent care unit there was very busy.

After waiting over two hours, I was given a hasty dressing on my leg.

The next morning the dressing was blood soaked.

My wife drove me to Crawley Urgent care,

There, very soon I was seen by a nurse

who gave me nine stitches and a bandage that held.

My wife and I were impressed with his competence.

We were happy we could see him two more times.

He arranged for a visiting nurse to see me at home..

She trained my wife in replacing the bandages.

We felt able to make a long scheduled trip

for Thanksgiving with our daughters and grandchildren

in the USA.

On return to Horsham, I was referred to a consultant

at Queen Victoria Hospital. She assured us that in a few

more weeks the deep slash would be fully healed.

What could be improved

My wife and I have no complaints about Crawley Hospital
