What I liked

After referral by GP appointment in 5 days. During 3 investigative appointments I was seen

promptly and all staff were extremely efficient but also very friendly and reassuring. During my

angiogram the doctors were brilliant, all was explained to me and I was told what to expect

and what was happening. The doctor took time to explain to me the results and I feel

confident that when he carries out the corrective procedure needed it will be performed with

skill and care.The rapid access chest clinic and cardiology department are a great. hardworking team and I feel lucky that they are at my local hospital.

What could be improved

Very little. My only negative would be the tasty roast pork, veg and roast potatoes was cold.

Anything else?

Five weeks ago I never dreamt I would develop a heart problem. I now know this can happen

to anyone at any time.In Eastbourne we have a brilliant Cardiology team.Hearts beat for 24 hours and go wrong day and night. The thought that I could possibly have to travel to Hastings,and likewise my family with me, fills me with dread.This excellent department

must go on offering 24 hour access. Please keep 24 hour cardiology services

at Eastbourne.
