See GP who orders blood tests before referral can be made to consultant. Three weeks later the referral letter has still not been sent because blood results are not back.
Phone GP to be told they're still waiting for results. Can't see consultant until results are in. Have phoned lab myself to be told they don't know why it got delayed their end but it "should be" on the system later today. Great.
So referral letter MIGHT get sent today, then have to wait 10 working days for referral centre to contact me (which makes it Jan 10th) before I even get into the system for an appointment, which could take 11 weeks. GP Nov 25, earliest likely to see consultant April.
