Social and communication workshop

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Adult Speech and Language Therapy

(as a parent/guardian),

My partner and I attended a social and communication workshop at Airdrie health centre.   This workshop was fantasticly delivered and we received excellent strategies to use within our home to support our son with the  daily difficulties he faces surrounding communication, also supporting my daughter who has Autism spectrum disorder. We really enjoyed the two sessions however I personally would have liked the sessions to be on for an extra week or two.   Thank you very much to the speech and language therapist for delivering this service and I'm positive it will help support many more families like it has supported  us.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on the social communication workshop you attended with your partner at Airdrie Health Centre. It is great to hear that the strategies will help you to support your son with his communication difficulties and also help your daughter who has Autism.

Your feedback is important to us and we are always keen to hear what went well and if there is anything we could do that would make your experience even better.

I will pass on your thanks to the therapist who delivered the workshop. We will also discuss the possibility of extending the workshop to offer our families and carers additional sessions.
