"Emergency Dr service in Cornwall"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Emergency Department South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111 South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Out-of-hours general practice

(as a relative),

My dad was very unwell Friday night, my mum was worried and not wanting to waste anyone’s time she didn’t know what to do. I visited and we called 111, the operator listened carefully and passed the call to the next level care, who decided the out of hours GP should visit. 

The Dr was with us within an hour, he was quick, confident and polite in his manner and within minutes he had called an ambulance to take dad to hospital. 
The paramedics collecting dad were reassuring and worked well together in making dad comfortable and then getting him to hospital. There were the usual delays at Treliske but dad was very well looked after at all times. 
We always heard bad news and it’s about time more compliments are paid to our amazing NHS staff - thank you to all who played their part in looking after dad.
