What I liked

Waiting time that day was not too bad... Half an hour.

What could be improved

Niece aged fifteen years had earring stuck in earlobe causing infection, was first directed to Ucc. Registered, then after waiting was told to go to children's a and e, the receptionist hadn't worked out from her d.o.b that she was a child.

Registered at childrens a and e (you have to walk round the outside as the connecting door is reserved for staff) then after more waiting sent back to Ucc.

Support staff were inattentive and uncaring, nurse giving treatment was very harsh and rough handling.

Anything else?

New hospital layout: car park is other side of hospital from a and e, a very long walk. Drop off bay always occupied by police or ambulance. So awkward to drive in with a patient. Out of hours the main door is closed and you are expected to walk around the outside to reach a and e.
