"Trying to contact the opthamology department fgh."

I have tried to cancel an appointment at the opthamology dept, Furness General Hospital.. I tried for three hours on and off. An answer machine kept giving me a site to log onto. No where could I see how to cancel my appointment!!

There needs to be someone on the phone duty rota to answer calls. It’s been a very frustrating and annoying, and wasteful of my time, experience.

I have eventually had to go through the switchboard, to speak to a secretary. She is going to have to go down to the department herself, and talk to th staff ther.

I found this lady, very polite and apologetic to the systems shortcoming. I believe there hav been problems in this department for quite some time.

Please try and sort this situation out.
