About: Dr M Flynn's Practice

We, that is myself, wife and family, have been using this practice for many years and can only praise the attention given to us by the medical staff of doctors and nurses.This attention also applies to a number of wider family members and more recently some of our children who having flown the nest and still rely on using the practice.

This appreciation obviously applies to the whole of the NHS service of which this group belongs and where family members have been referred for specialist treatment.The brilliant Alder Hay Hospital being just one example.

We have always found the doctors to be professional in their approach to dealing with our various problems. Similarly in the organisation of the practice.

Of particular interest the use of computers in recent years and its apparent speeding up of the indentification of patient records and on the spot provision of printed advice notes to patients.From what I can see the practice keeps up to date with the various technological advances.

The practice is housed in a modern and comfortable building with good car parking.

The appointment system appears to be reasonable on a same day basis subject to

early confirmation. I understand that where the patient wants a choice of doctors an appointment is possible although generally this time is subject to a one week waiting time. In any event it seems to me that this arrangement is a substantial improvement on some of the waiting times reported elsewhere in the country.

I think one has to be aware of the pressure of work and the number of patients to be seen.Similarly the effect of budget on what can and cannot be done. Bearing in mind all these factors it seems to me that the practice has so far managed to maintain a reasonable balance of provision. I wish the practice well for the future.

Thank you Michael for taking the time to record these comments, as always the comments (good or bad) are passed round all the clinical & non clinical staff so they are aware of what people think of their efforts or whether we can make any changes to systems to accommodate what patients suggest that may benefit other patients.

The feedback is always helpful and stops us becoming too complacent but it is always nice to hear when a patient thinks we are doing a good job, so thanks again for taking the time to do this.
