"Fabulous budding Nurse"

About: Crossroads Medical Practice

I was amazed at the efficiency of the trainee nurse who is currently at the practice (I'm sorry but I don't remember her name, lovely young girl though). My father attended for a blood test but mentioned he did not feel well to her as she was preparing herself. She asked him what he meant, and agreed he did not look well. I explained his symptoms, and he was also getting confused/skitty which was very abnormal for him. After checking his temperature and all other bits and bobs, she said she though it best we provide a urine sample, which he wanted to do there and then as he was in so much pain. So she kindly gave him a pot, tested him which did show signs of infection! She then messaged another senior nurse who came through to assess my dad and agreed he had signs of a fairly nasty urine infection. Within 5 minutes we had a prescription for antibiotics in our hands! She only had a few minutes of her time because we was only there for a simple blood test, but nothing was too much trouble and she made sure my dad got the care he needed. She may be training still but I think she is a credit to you and you have clearly trained her very well. My dad is now perfectly recovered and very grateful to her, so thank you.

Thank you so much for your very positive feedback it is very rewarding to hear when we get things right. Once we received your feedback we identified the staff member straight away and she was over the moon to receive such praise.

You may be pleased to hear that we have now taken on the nurse in question as she has recently graduated.

We feel sure she is going to be a great asset to the practice.

Kind regards

Angela Gresham

Practice Manager
