What I liked
I recently was admitted to ROH to have my baby. The care and treatment both medically and pastorally was exceptional. Every single staff member from midwifes, doctors through to the person who brought breakfast was friendly, polite and interested in my and baby's health and well being. It wasn't the most straight-forward of births but at every step of the way I was informed about what was happening and why, and at all times felt that I was in safe hands.
In my professional life I investigate complaints about the NHS and this was my first experience of receiving inpatient care and I cannot say how good the service that I received was.
What could be improved
The amount of choice that patients are given for meals is astounding, although welcome I'm sure that money could be saved by reducing this choice and that patients would understand this
"Absolutely first class - an NHS to be proud of"
