The extended opening hours provided by the West Herts Medical Centre are essential for those of us that commute from Hertfordshire into London.

We leave home early and return late, making traditional surgery hours difficult.

Providing such flexibility is challenging for the team, but they balance the needs of their registered and walk-in patients very well.

When I book an appointment I am usually seen after a reasonable wait, depending on how busy it is.

When things take longer it is because they are spending the time needed with each patient rather than pushing them through.

I've been treated for an ongoing condition for the last couple of years and they have been able to provide good continuity of service even though shift patterns make it difficult to see the same doctor every time..
