What I liked
The commitment of the nursing staff
What could be improved
We arrived at Ward 26a with a 4 week old baby at 6.30 pm after being referred by our GP, and, were finally allowed to leave at 00.45am. Sitting for over 6 hours with a small baby and receiving about 20 minutes of treatment, we did get the feeling of being left in a room and abandoned. I know the hospital was busy but doctors coming in taking notes and saying I'll be back in 10 minutes, then disappearing for hours doesn't really give you the feeling of being looked after. Staff are obviously thin on the ground and under pressure. Not a pleasant experience.
"Abandoned in a Ward."
