I signed up to this surgery as soon as I moved to the area a few years back. I had heard some horror stories through older reviews regarding rudeness, indifference and overall a lack of respect towards their patients. I still gave the surgery the benefit of the doubt, as I occasionally suffer from kidney stones, and other issues that arise due to my weight problems.
I quickly learned that these reviews were rather accurate. As I understand it, many people whom reside near my home have registered elsewhere as they have also probably experienced negative experiences with the surgery.
One of my biggest issues with this surgery is the attitude of the staff. Most of the receptionists can't be bothered to even give you a smile let alone help you when in need. There is one exception, as one of the receptionists did actually got my hopes up that maybe they may improve. But to be absolutely honest, the main problem with the surgery are the doctors, one doctor in particular.
I come from a highly medical family, almost everyone in my family is either a consultant, doctor or scientist. I have observed my father at work as one of the best doctors in his country, and to say this practice fails would be an understatement.
The doctor in question has no respect for anything anyone says, often interrupting suggestions, or making snide remarks as well as having an extremely arrogant attitude which does not bode well for the future of the surgery. I have never seen any doctor practice like this, and my family are certainly not impressed by this!
I understand that sometimes the job becomes difficult as there are many obstacles, and patients can be difficult at times too. But the way this particular doctor handles patients it makes me ashamed that this person shares the same profession as my family.
This doctor does not treat their own staff with respect, as I have often watched internal conflicts, such as the doctor treating their own staff badly, constantly criticizing them, nothing short of abuse. I cannot express how dismayed this has left me, and despite having faith that maybe this can be resolved I have no choice but to think about moving doctors.
It needs a revival, maybe friendlier, passionate staff to keep it going. I believe the rejuvenation can happen.
I urge anyone to consider going elsewhere, as I think this lack of passion has destroyed the place.
"Huge room for improvement"
