"Teenagers"

About: Newton Heath Medical Centre

My 18 year old went to get repeat prescription for her Pill and was told she had put on a few kilos(prob 4 lbs over the summer due to travelling for 3 months, normally regular gym goer) and if she didn't lose some weight she wouldn't be able to get a repeat prescription next time.

My daughter is a size 10 and these comments are completely out of order.

This person needs to think before they say things ,luckily she didn't take any notice of his remarks but some teenagers could worry their selves sick and do ridiculous diets to lose weight or not go back for the pill if their weight hasn't altered and end up pregnant.

We take patient feedback very seriously and we are sorry that you are unhappy with your daughter's consultation with her GP.

If you daughter wishes to discuss this further please contact the surgery.
