"Brilliant care from everyone in TDC and F1"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Plastic surgery

(as the patient),

I was booked in for day surgery following my original surgery nearly two years ago. I had a phone call asking if I could come in earlier - no problem at all. I was checked in at Treatment and Diagnostics Centre and from then on everything went like clockwork. I met the anaesthetist who took on board my concerns about previous anaesthesia, saw my consultant and then off to the theatre. I woke up a couple of hours later and because the anaesthetist had made adjustments to my medication had absolutely no issues with nausea or vomiting at all. Wonderful! I was kept in overnight on F1 and it was great to see a familiar face or two - I had the same exceptional care from my consultant and her team - as well all the staff on the ward. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here and you can recover at your own pace knowing that the best is being done for you.

Thank you for your positive comment posted on the NHS Choices website regarding the care and treatment you received from the Treatment and Diagnostics Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital. It was very kind of you to take the time to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects their hard work and dedication.

We were pleased to read that the medical and nursing teams who took care of you took on board your concerns; particularly the anaesthetist who made adjustments to your medication so that you did not suffer any side effects. We were also pleased to read that you also received exceptional care from staff whilst you were on F1 and that nothing was too much trouble for them so that you could recover at your own pace. We can assure you that your kind comment has been forwarded to the Head of Nursing for the Surgery Division so that this can be shared with the consultant and the wider teams.
