What I liked

I liked the way my surgeon and the ward manager treated me and tried to overcome probles as they arose

What could be improved

The food desperately needs to be improved. I had little that was edible.

This is my 9th surgery in the same area and I have yet to have an oporation without getting an infection or MRSA, and have a surgery that doesn't need to be repeated.

Anything else?

I have little to say about the good side to CGH and those comments are restricted to specific staff. I have also sat and watched as people were left without being fed, people left for up to an hour both for the bell to be answered and to be attended to after using a commode. In fact one patient died whilst on the commode for over an hour without a nurse checking him..

I have observed the way some managers work the system, trumping up grievences against porters to the point that they are made ill. I don't think anyone will deal with these issues and the NHS will not only lose patience to poor after care, but will also lose good staff because managers breach data protection to their own means to hide the poor job they are doing
