About: Russells Hall Hospital

What I liked

i was taken to A&E with chest pains, it turned out I was having a heart attack. The people in a A&E

were brilliant and I was seen in a matter of minutes. I was given everything I needed. Everything the staff did was explained to me, such as the purpose of the drugs I was given and and why they transfer people to New Cross.

The staff were very busy but still took the time to reassure me every step of the way. It can be frightening to suddenly find your self in hospital when you have not been in before, but the staff made it all a bit easier by talking about what was going on and for me this made a difference.

What could be improved

happy with everything.

Thank you Jillian for posting your comments about our Accident and Emergency department. We are very pleased to hear about your positive experience – as you say A&E can be a very frightening place to find yourself, especially as it was your first visit to hospital.

Good communication with our patients is so important and your kind words will mean a great deal to the emergency team who cared for you during your visit. They will be pleased to hear how they were able to reassure you at such an anxious time. We will be very happy to pass your feedback to the team.
