"First visit to Sutherland Centre"

I was referred to the Sutherland centre by healthy minds. I'm at a point where my fab GP can do no more. I've had endless counselling, 1 suicide attempt and bad self harming. The referral was in the hope that they would see me and suggest where I go from here. The appt came through quite quickly which was great. The receptionist on my visit was good and very busy and even she wondered why i had not been called in. I didnt see the person named in my appt letter and the guy i saw came across quite unprofessional. I lost a child 20 years ago and was asked why this still bothered me. I lost a friend this March and he commented that I was still upset by it. He asked abput my family. I said about my sister and the fact tgat her partner had left her after 20 years to get told 'such is life's and was told that 1 type of meds I was on would make me lose my mind and that I was too young for that to happen. I then got a leaflet containing numbers and was told I would be seen periodically by someone. My appt has come through for October wish I'm thinking of cancelling as it seems a complete waste of time going there for help. I thought I would see a therapist after seeing him but nothing. And please do not answer my review with the normal waffle abput being sorry and to call the manager instead review what goes on at the centre and do something about what goes on there!!!!
