What I liked
My son has been treated at the Brompton since his brith in 2006 and the care we have received has always been nothing other than exemplary.
We lived at the hospital for 4 months after a procedure he had at just 7 weeks old and during this period the care that he received in the intensive care, high dependency unit and children's ward, was exceptional. We were involved in every decision and every step of his care and felt fully informed at all times of his situation. He was looked after by the physio, occupational therapy and play specialist teams in addition to his medical team, and the communication between these teams was superb. The staff also treated my husband and myself with respect and care throughout our stay there, and at all his follow up surgeries and appointments since. The family liason services have been excellent.
If he ever needs further surgery I would have absolutely no hesitation in handing him over to their expert hands as I have complete confidence in the abilities, communication, professionalism and care of all staff at the Brompton.
Our follow-up care since he has been an outpatient has always been excellent - when we have needed to contact the hospital for advice we have always been able to get the answers or advice we need quickly.
I would thoroughly recommend the Royal Brompton's services to anybody.
"Outstanding care of the whole family"
