I've only recently joined and the receptionists were helpful and polite but this review is about one GP.
Having recently moved to the area I needed to join a surgery because of some neck pain I'd been experiencing.
I came to see this GP who printed out exercises off the internet and ushered me out the door telling me that she wouldn't re do my repeat prescription even though it was for the neck and back pain I'd been experiencing. I tried telling her I'd done exercises and needed some physio to be told 'no, come back in 6 weeks if it isn't better' My job is physical and this response already upset me.
I returned a month later (today) because I've been experiencing dizziness, headaches and my balance feels affected and I'm still struggling with back and neck pain.
I came into the room to a disinterested face. I explained my issues to which said GP screws up her face and says 'why are you here' Again I repeat my problems and it seemed as though she did not really want to be listening, instead making me feel as though I shouldn't be there.
I am not a time waster, I genuinely try EVERYTHING before even thinking about going to the GP. But these symptoms have affected my day to day living and to be treated as though I am in the surgery every other day with a cough or cold is ridiculous.
If this GP doesn't like dealing with the general public then perhaps she shouldn't be practicing medicine.
"Disappointed"
